RSMU Staff Research Work Called Best at European Venous Forum in Greece

On June, 28-30 European Venous Forum (EVF 2018) was held in the city of Athens, Greece. The event was a Tripartite Meeting of European Venous Forum, Balkan Venous Forum and the Hellenic Phlebological Society.

The target audience was mostly vascular surgeons as well as general surgeons, angiology specialists, phlebologists, interventional radiologists, vascular medicine specialists, dermatologists etc.

RSMU staff members, professor Igor Suchkov and assistant professor Nina Mzhavanadze, were included into the Russian delegation headed by Yu. Stojko, the president of Phlebology Association of Russia, to take part in the Forum. 

Reports made by RSMU representatives were highly appraised by the international scientific community and Andrew Nicolaides, the chairman of EVF executive board, in particular.

The report «Assessment of D-dimer level as a potential marker for VTE in patients with CIED» (I. Suchkov, R. Kalinin, N. Mzhavanadze, O. Zhurina, V. Povarov) was awarded as the best ePoster in the session “Chronic Venous Disease – Venous Thromboembolism”.
