EGYPTIAN ATTACHÉ FOR EDUCATION AND CULTURE PAYS A WORKING VISIT TO RYAZAN STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Pavel Anatolyevich Shevtsov, Deputy Head of the International Humanitarian Cooperation Agency (Rossotrudnichestvo) and Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamed Elserghani, the Attaché for Education and Culture of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Supervise of the Egyptian Cultural Bureau, paid a working visit to Ryazan State Medical University. They held a meeting with the University administration and also saw Egyptian students.

The guests were welcomed by Rector Roman Kalinin, Vice-rector for Extracurricular Activity and International Issues Maria Gordova, Vice-rector for Curricular Activity Oleg Uryasyev, Head of Training and Development Department Svetlana Kamaeva and Rectorate Advisor on International Issues Alexander Dobychin.
During the meeting the parties discussed possible ways to develop cooperation in the field of admission and education of Egyptian residents.

Among the main advantages of studying in Ryazan the quests particularly noted friendly and cooperative atmosphere in the student community and possibilities to go in for sports and develop creative potential of every student provided by the University.  Nevertheless, Dr. Mohamed Elserghani stressed that the Egyptian Government was interested, first of all, in training qualified personnel.

During the meeting with the students some attention was paid to their educational trajectory and academic achievements. The members of the delegation asked about their experience and impression of studying at Ryazan State Medical University and living in Ryazan.

It should be mentioned that there are more than 900 foreign students at the University now, where 142 of them are residents of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
