But winter isn't just about cold and exams. It's also time for the most magical and joyful holidays—New Year. So even during the season of tests and exam preparation you can find time for fun, smiles, warm words, best wishes, making new friends, and even being a little like kids again! So, first-year international students and preparatory course students visited Ryazan Regional Library named after M. Gorky on December 16th, but this time not to search for scientific literature or prepare for exams, but to participate in the "New Year in Russia" celebration, where they joined Father Frost, Snegurochka, and Alyonushka to learn about Russian New Year's traditions, the symbols of the New Year in our country, and, of course, received gifts from Father Frost! Our students not only watched the amazing New Year's concert but also participated in it, performing one of the most beloved Russian New Year's songs, "A Christmas Tree Was Born in the Forest," in three languages—Russian, English, and French. We encourage everyone to start getting into the New Year's spirit, and don't skimp on smiles and warm words for your friends and family.
